Welcome to Lets Drive Wales School of Motoring

Lets Drive Wales School of Motoring is a friendly and local driving school owned by Mr Carl Thomas, a fully qualified driving instructor approved by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA ADI).

The aims of the school are simple, to offer professional driving instruction, with driving lessons that are tailored to meet the needs of each student on an individual basis, from the complete beginner to the more experienced driver.

Let’s Drive Wales Driving School is based in Neath and covers all the surrounding areasย  including Cimla, Tonna, Skewen, Briton Ferry, Baglan, Bryncoch, Cilfrew and Aberdulais.

Let’s Drive Wales plan to expand in the next year with up to 4 new instructors including learning to drive in automatic gears. We are also expanding to other areas includingย  Ammanford, Pontardawe, Trebanos, Rhos, Alltwen and Clydach.

  • I used Carl to train my son. Carl has a brilliant car, latest tech and dual controls with access to a second should anything unforeseen happen. Best move ever, did exactly what he said he would. Carl is a very skilled instructor who has the ability to train younger drivers without them feeling under pressure. After each lesson my son came back with new skills that he knew how to apply and were also easy to remember. A pass with 2 minors for a young lad in his situation is an excellent result. Thank you Carl.

  • Recently passed with Carl, thoroughly enjoyed our lessons together, always on time and very chatty during the lesson making me feel very welcome and comfortable throughout my time with him. I had tried learning to drive with a few instructors before going with Carl, and he was the best by a mile. Very friendly and approachable from the start. I had a very good instructor/learner relationship with Carl. He was very patient, encouraging and supportive, while also bringing humour to the lessons which put me at ease. I always looked forward to my lessons with Carl, we always had a laugh, it was like sitting next to a friend I'd known for years. Carl was the best driving instructor I could have asked for, I was such a nervous starter but he made me feel at ease and safe straight away. To say I was terrified of driving in my first few lessons is an understatement but Carl managed to turn the girl scared of second gear into a confident driver a lot quicker than I thought was possible!
